10 Years?

Jason and I attended his 10 year high school reunion last night. The location was La Jolla, the food was delicious and the music brought us back to the year 1999. I felt like I was at my freshman homecoming all over again. We were able to catch up with old friends , and I was able to make new friends. I was a freshman in 99 so I recognized a lot of faces. I can't wait for my reunion in three years. I couldn't be happier with my life and want to show off my handsome man!

My Little Chefs

Jason has not been feeling well for the past week so the girls and I decided to make him his favorite meal, Shepherds Pie. It is really easy to make and very kid friendly for the "little chefs."

Step 1 In a baking dish spread a layer of canned veggies. ( mixed, corn, green beans, peas, carrots- pretty much whatever you have in your cupboard.

Step 2 Add a layer of cooked ground beef with chopped onions

Step 3 Top it off with a layer of mashed potatoes ( fresh, boxed or the pre-made Betty Croker stuff- whatever works for you.)

Step 4 Bake 15-20 minutes @ 350 degrees then serve!

The girls had so much fun helping Mommy in the kitchen. I love my "Little Chefs."

Summer Fun

This summer has been very eventful. It began with moving to our new house, followed by our 2 week Lee Vinning trip, then 1 week at Camp Cedarbrook, beach trips and youth group bbq's filled our schedule for another 2 weeks followed by 1 week in Catalina. YIKES!!! My favorite of all the summer activities by far was simply watching my girls play in our back yard. I would lay in our 8 inch high grass( we need to cut it) under the shade of our fruitless mulberry tree and just watch the girls run around. Trinity loves playing the "Tackle Mommy" game while Nevaeh is more fond of the tire swing . I am enjoying the fact that the busyness of summer is ending and now I can spend more time just hanging out at home with my Hubby, my girls, my dogs and my horses:)

Growing Up Way Too Fast

Jason, the girls and I recently took our annual family trip to Catalina, well it's really for the high schoolers but I get to tag along. I decided to look back on photos from our previous trips and was amazed at how much the girls have changed. They are growing up way too fast!

Before & After

May 31st 2009 Jason and I became official home owners! After 6 months of searching and what seemed to be the longest escrow battle ever, we ended up with our dream home. Well it would be that is, after we put a little "love" into the place. The walls needed some fresh paint, the rooms needed lights installed, the garage additions needed to be finished and to top it off we decided to install laminate wood flooring. Our friends and family, each with amazing gifts and talents, all worked together in helping us make this dream home a reality.
We are so incredibly thankful to everyone who contributed in making our new home feel like HOME.
Here are just a few pictures of the transformation.

Blogging world here I come!

I figured I didn't keep myself busy enough raising a family, working in ministry, being a pastors wife and taking care of animals so I added a few new hobbies. The first being gardening, second a Bible Class and the newest... blogging!
I love reading my friends blogs, getting the latest and greatest updates in their lives so I figured this would be a fun way to do that for the friends and family I don't see that often.
So be on the lookout for some fun posts about our home renovations, my garden and turtle pond project and of course pictures of my girls!
