Preganacy Update

So I haven't written much about baby yet so I figured I'd start now.
This pregnancy is starting to speed by a little more than the last two. I have experienced more morning sickness and fatigue with this one. Many take the difference in pregnancies as a sign that this one is a boy, but lately I've just had a feeling that this baby is another girl:) I'm delighted either way, but I would love the experience of having a little boy. As mentioned before Nevaeh is so excited, even Trinity is started to really "get it." As of today I am 14weeks 1 day, the sickness is mostly gone. Enough about me already let's talk about baby...
Baby Gaga ( Nevaeh's new nickname for the baby) is the size of a lemon. He or she can now squint, frown, grimace, and possibly suck his/her thumb!
Baby's body is starting to become porportional and they are starting to develop hair(probably not mine, Nevaeh and trinity were both bald!)

I have a check in appointment on Friday and am hoping to get a picture of Baby Gaga. We might even catch him/her sucking their thumb:) Update to follow in a couple days.

Final Weigh In

RFC's Biggest Winner Challenge is officially over! Our team lost another 18lbs in two weeks for a total team loss of over 88lbs! The final reveal/rewards ceremony is this Sunday, we'll see how we measured up!
I am so incredibly proud of my team. We all ate right and worked out hard! We did our weight loss the old fashioned way, no quick fixes just hard work.
Even though the contest is over I plan to continue what I started, with a new goal that is. Instead of weight loss I am watching my weight gain, eating everything I need for my baby while working out. I hope to only gain 15-20lbs while continuing to loose body fat. So far I am down 4.5% body fat and hope to loose another 4.5% before the baby is born. Of course the health of my baby is my #1 priority. I want to assure my concerned friends and family I am not starving myself, or over working myself. I am doing all of this for my baby and for me to have an easier delivery and recovery. I feel healthy, I have more energy and I have an amazing group of friends who are by my side on this journey!
I'll continue to post pictures, they'll just be of my growing belly. I already have a little bump so I'll have to get on it
Love you all, thanks for all of your support!

Wish Us Luck

This is the final week of the Biggest Winner Contest at Ramona Fitness Center. Our team has steadily remained in 3rd place out of over 50 teams throughout the competition, we find out this weekend if we were able to move up in the ranks. I am so incredibly proud of my team and how hard we have all worked. It doesn't matter if we win or not because we all feel like we have won already. Our team as of 2 weeks ago was down over 70lbs, that's with a 3 month pregnant lady on the team:) We weigh in Friday and are so thankful for all of the support we have received throughout this journey.

My personal goals have obviously changed. What started as a 20lb loss goal turned into more of a weight management goal. I lost 7 lbs in the first 2 weeks of the contest and have steadily maintained throughout. I am down 7 lbs, have lost over 4% body fat and actually dropped 2 pant sizes. I'm pretty proud of that considering I am 3 months pregnant. I have done it the right way too, eating healthy and working out. I am so excited to start this pregnancy off right, staying healthy and keeping fit while doing so. My goal is to only gain 15-20lbs during this pregnancy. I won't stress too much over the scale as my baby's health and my health are my #1 priority.

Excited Big Sister

Nevaeh has been saying the cutest things lately, so I decided I needed to start writing them down. She is so excited about a new baby coming into the family, Trinity doesn't really get it yet but Nevaeh knows. Here are a few quotes for you...

Before getting prego...
Nevaeh: " Mommy can you push out a baby like Auntie Heather and Uncle Nick?"
Me: "Honey, you have to pray and ask Jesus for Mommy to have a baby."
Nevaeh: " How I do that?"
(Mommy & Neaveh Pray)
Nevaeh:( Nevaeh speaking to my tummy) " Are you in there yet baby?"

After Announcing the pregnancy
Me:" Nevaeh there is baby in Mommy's tummy now."
Nevaeh: " Jesus hear me way up in the sky for a baby."
Me: " that's right honey, you're going to be a big sister again."
Nevaeh: "Can you push it out Mom, I want to play with it."
Me: " No honey the baby has to grow, it's not done cookin yet."

...
I was carrying Nevaeh on my hip and she asked...
Nevaeh:" I not hurt the baby right?"
Me: "No honey you're not hurting the baby."
Nevaeh: " It's still cookin huh Mom?"
Me: "Yes honey, it's still cookin."
Nevaeh: "when it be all done?"
Me: "Around your birthday in October."
Nevaeh( Filled with excitment)" We can have 2 birthdays!"

Nevaeh is pretty set on wanting a little brother, Trinity says something different every time I ask her. One thing is for sure Nevaeh is super excited! She already sings to my tummy and prays for a healthy baby. It's too cute!

Guess What?

So two weeks into our weight loss competition I was doing great. Down 8lbs in the first 2 weeks then plateau. Reason being, I was pregnant and didn't know it. In the third week I found out the wonderful news but didn't let it deter me from working out and eating healthy. I cut out the protein shake replacements and stayed at 1200 calories, making sure I got in all the proteins, fruits and veggies baby needs. I even continued my 10 hour a week workouts despite my morning sickness and fatigue. I was bummed that I wasn't going negative on the scale but glad I'm not gaining anything either. My goal is to have a healthy baby and to be a healthy Mommy, continuing to eat right and exercise regularly. I gained 60lbs with Nevaeh lost 30lbs then gained the 30 back with Trinity then lost 30 after her. Needless to say I have remained about 30lbs over my pre-baby weight and am hoping to beat that obstacle this time. My goal is to loose fat while gaining baby, that way after the baby is born it will be easier for me to shed the pounds and keep them off. We are all super excited, Jason wants another girl, Nevaeh asks me everyday for a brother, Trinity changes her mind every minute and I am happy with either. A boy would be a nice change but I have have plenty of experience with girls. October 26th is the day we are expecting our little one. Please keep our growing family in your prayers, for good health for everyone.

Pure Energy Update

First and foremost I want to say that I am super proud of my team. While I'm not all that happy with my number on the scale for myself I am pleased to be down almost 2 pant sizes and 3.5% body fat loss. My weight hasn't changed in two weeks, I'm happy at least not to have gained anything. My team however pulled off another 18 POUNDS!!! WOOHOO! I'm hoping for 4 lbs by the end to have a 10lb loss. A good friend of mine gave me this quote, "You get credit for what you finish not what you start"and I will finish going strong. I may not be happy with the number on the scale but I am happy that I look and feel stronger and more healthy. I'll keep you all posted on whether we made top 5 again or not.
